Such short little lives our pets
have to spend with us, and they spend
most of it waiting for us to come home each day.
~ John Grogan ~
Pets have a nuanced relationship with human. We keep pets out of love for them, while at the same time, pets provide therapeutic effects on our spiritual and emotional well-being.
People and pets have an extremely close and delicate relationship. In addition to our love for them, when we keep pets, we also assume the responsibility of caring for them because of our love. Because they receive our love, they show their love for us, are loyal to us, and establish a relationship of mutual love and trust.
But people may not have thought about the wonderful and healing effects they can have on our mental and emotional health.
When we go home, we always talk to them about everything that happened today. They are good spiritual partners. In fact, when we go out, pets are the objects of conversation for many children and the elderly. Some children may not be easy to communicate with other people due to their personality, but when they see pets, many of them can slowly establish a relationship. Just a touch or a hug can make children feel very happy in an instant.
The same goes for the elderly. Seeing their pet’s docile and cute appearance, even if it’s just silent companionship or a simple meow in response, makes them happy all day long.
They live in this world for who knows how long, so that their love can spread, even if it is a small thing, it can be given to friends in need.
